Although Rhythm Creation hasn't been updated in a long time, my other site Remix Comps has become the top site for finding out about which Remix Contests are running. Because I haven't updated in a while please find download my eBook for free below which is available from Remix Comps to newsletter subscribers.
The book contains information on getting started with remixing, choosing a suitable remix contest and much more. There is even a section on running your own remix contest and how to go about it.

Simply download the samplepack on the page which contains drum loops in various genres, bass loops, pads, fx and crashes from Zenhiser's sample libraries. Then using your music abilities cut them up, play with the samples and rework them into a 1 to 5 minute track using as much or as little of the provided samples as you want.

I have just launched a new website called Remix Comps and I wanted to tell you about it. I am searching the internet and finding remix competitions and contests and listing them in one easy to use place so it is always easy to find the latest remix competitions. So go check it out and bookmark it if you like doing remixes.

Every site has got to start somewhere and this is Rhythm Creation’s start with our first post. My name is Edward Cufaude and the aim of this site is to spread knowledge and info that can help when creating music. It doesn’t matter what style of music you create, but if it is mainly sample and synth based I’m sure the posts I create are going to be of great interest to you.
I shall also be posting some of my own samples that I create for use in your own music (which you can use for free for non-commercial use). If you want to find out any more about me or this site please go to theabout page or my personal site.
