Today I'm going to start a new project on Rhythm Creation. For a while I have been wanting to make my own full album and properly release it taking my music from just a few tracks distributed on the internet into a proper releases. I've also started writing again on Rhythm Creation and so I thought why not bring the two together by making an album and then blog about it every step of the way...

Everytime I have an idea, brainwave, thought or learn a production technique etc, I will write a blog post about it. I'm not usually a fan of planning things as I think that when you plan stuff most of the time it doesn't materialize. Therefore I am not going to set any dates I am just going to do it. I think that by writing articles it would benefit both Rhythm Creation and my album, Rhythm Creation would get some unique and interesting posts and the album would benefit from writing my progress and getting comments.

At the moment the album doesn't exist in any form. I have no ideas about what it should be like. I am going to completely scrap everything I've ever done up until now with my own music and start completely from scratch. I'm not even going to use any sounds that I've made before, everything will be made completely from scratch.

As a background it is probably best that I quickly tell you about my music to date...

I make what I would classify as Electronica music. I have made numerous tracks and released the ones I have been pleased with online. I set up my own site in the beginning of 2008 where I released music for free download which you can listen to and download still at EdwardCufaude.com, I've distributed them via Jamendo, other sites and uploaded them to torrent sites like The Pirate Bay. I have dabbled by getting a couple of tracks for sale on iTunes and other stores, but I never marketed them and got only a few sales. I have got good reactions from people all around the world and have had numerous people contacting me to tell me they like my tracks and thanking me for putting them up for free download.

So here goes and follow the posts I write on Rhythm Creation about this project. I have created a special post category and section on the right specifically for this project, so you can see just the posts that are a result of this idea.
